Reminiscent of the iconic vehicle that saved the first american sports car from bankruptcy. Earning the name "The Real McCoy" the 1956 Racer prototype delivered a historic blow to the competition that literally saved the model , the result of a massive effort to rescue the ailing brand whose sales were declining under competition from the Ford Thunderbird. The Racer Prototype won first in class at the legendary 1956 Sebring 12-hour race. The Racer was immediately trumpeted for its accomplishment in large print ads touting it as “a tough, road-gripping torpedo on wheels” and “the most remarkable car made in America today.” We have taken great care to reproduce, in the best way possible, our handcrafted 2/3 scale version of the historic automobile. We have made it possible for the youngest or just young at heart to own a smaller version of this very special vehicle. It is a Mini Car with a life size presents, guaranteed to get more excitement and interest than the real thing. Be prepared to get stopped every time you take it out.
